This is why most people are looking for different ways to keep a breasted of the weather at all times. Bushnell comes to the rescue with the Onix400 GPS Weather Tracker. This unit helps track the weather so you will always be ready at a moment’s notice. Read further and see how well this entry from Bushnell performs and if it something that you should consider buying.

I do not know how many times I have planned an activity only to be rained out or have some kind of storm approach and have to end my event early. This is something I really hate and especially for all the people involved. Now though Bushnell has a device that could stop this problem from ever happening again. The Onix 400 GPS Weather Tracker will help keep you alerted of the latest Weather around you. Let us look at all the features on the Bushnell Onix400 and see why this is a very valuable unit indeed.

This handheld unit GPS unit has a 3.5-inch color LCD display and provides a resolution of 320 X 240 and from first impressions; the display does a very good job. It also comes with a digital compass, which is also a nice added touch from Bushnell. With the Onix400, you will be able to download satellite, topography and aerial maps right from the Bushnell website so you will have all the information you need at your fingertips. One great feature is after you download the maps this unit configures them to your current location, which is nice. It also comes with an integrated 128MB microSD card, which means you can hold a lot of data which is something I like a lot. With the USB cable, that you get you can download new maps from your computer and remove ones you never use which is great.

You also will be able to get Weather reports on the Bushnell Onix400 GPS system, but you will have to buy a subscription for that, but it is well worth the money to keep updated on where the storms are and if they will effect whatever you are doing right now. The unit is powered by a Li-Ion battery, which is rechargeable, and the Onix400 has a battery conservation mode so you will not run out of power when you need it the most.

The Bushnell Onix400 GPS Weather Tracker is very well made. It was made to handle rugged service and even if you happen to drop it do not work it has many things that protect it from getting hurt. One other thing that really makes this model stand out is the 1,000 waypoints that you can save on it even though most people do not use waypoints to their advantage as they can.

Overall, the Bushnell Onix400 GPS Weather Tracker is a very solid performer that can help you in many different ways. Everyone knows if you can have a step up on the weather it is much easier than if you do not. It lets you plan more outdoor activities without worrying about what your next move is. Other big advantages are if you are out in the elements it will give, you time to either make shelter or find shelter. This is very important especially if you are hiking and have no you cannot make it back in time.  You will have to pay for the weather subscription, but it is well worth the kind of money you are spending. A traffic upgrade also is something that you may want to look into as well. This model is also very well constructed and should give you years of trouble free service. Being Bluetooth compatible is also a big feature that you really do not find in too many handhelds.

The bottom line with the Bushnell Onix400 GPS Weather Tracker handheld unit is it performs. It will keep you a breasted of weather conditions and has so many different features and at an affordable price, you really cannot afford to be without it. When you’re on a trail or hiking through the woods knowing of impending weather problems is something that will help you find shelter and it could possibly save your life. Get yours today and say up to date on Weather conditions no matter where you maybe.
