Learn the Benefits of Navigon GPS Systems
There are many global positioning systems on the market today that have a variety of functions, including mapping, tracking and navigation. The navigation systems are especially popular because they provide a great deal of assistance to the everyday individual who gets turned around easily while out on the road. Many devices are known for their high quality features, while others are attractive to the eyes. However, Navigon GPS systems are able to accomplish both, being a great asset to customers around the country.
About Navigon
The company began working on advancements in navigation since it started in 1991. Now it is known as an industry leader with a handful of very high-quality, reliable products on the market. They are known for creating the world’s first dynamic personal GPS system in 1996, along with the first software for navigation that worked with the Pocket PC in 2000. Even more, in 2002, they created the first Traffic Message Channel-based (TMC) avoidance feature that could be found on portable units in 2002.
But possibly, the most popular of all products created to work with Navigon GPS systems is the award-winning MobileNavigator™ that directs PNDs, SmartPhones, and in-dash systems with software that delivers information on destinations in an easy to use format.
Products
There are three main Navigon GPS systems on the market right now: the 2100, 5100 and 7100. Each one has unique features that can appeal to any person looking for a unit, so let’s look at each one to see which one might appeal to you.
2100 – This unit is the most inexpensive of the three, costing on average $250. It is very attractive to look at and has the same basic features of the other two – but of course, with not quite as much to offer. It has an easy-to-read 3.5” screen and a 3D Reality View feature that lets you see the roads from all angles. It also offers text-to-speech technology so that you can have audible turn-by-turn directions without having to look at the screen. There are optional features that can come with the 2100, such as Lifetime Traffic, and Zagat Ratings and Reviews, so if you want to upgrade without spending too much, you have options.
5100 – One of these Navigon GPS systems costs a little bit more, averaging $500. It still has the 3.5” screen, but has a more attractive interface. And it offers a few extras that make it more beneficial than the 2100. For example, in addition to the 3D Reality View, you get Lane Assist, complimentary Lifetime Traffic that works “plug and play,” exclusive Zagat Ratings and Reviews features, intuitive menus, and both 2D and 3D maps.
7100 – Of course I’m saving the best for last. The 7100 comes in at a whopping 650 bucks, but for this price, you actually get a lot. It is even more attractive than the other two in appearance, with a very sleek design. But even better is what they have to offer on the inside. This device has all of the features listed for the 5100, plus voice guidance and spoken street names with advanced text-to-speech technology, a larger screen (4.3 inches), a 16:9 widescreen format, and Bluetooth capabilities so that you can make calls.
Registration
After you purchase one of these units, it is suggested that you register it so that you can have access to their news and updates.
